Junior Development Program

If you have a group of kids that all know each other and would like to have their own separate group then that can likely be arranged. These customized groups can be scheduled outside of the below classes.

We are now registering kids for the 4th Session of the 2021-2022 season. The quicker we have an idea of how many kids are interested in each class the more we can prepare for the class and provide the best experience possible. With this in mind, please also inform us on your goals for your child as well. This will help facilitate proper class placement.

Update 3/22/2022: Session 4 of our Junior Development Program will be starting on Monday, April 11th, 2022. Please try and sign up early to reserve your spot in our classes.

The Saturday classes will have a change. The 10:30 class will be Green Ball and the 11:30 offerings will be dependent on sign-ups. There will be an additional Beginner Yellow Ball Class on Tuesdays at 5:15 until 6:15 and a modified ball class offering (Red/Orange/Green) on Thursday at 5:15-6:15.

Make-up Policy:  If you wish to have a make-up for a missed class, please give us advanced notice. Advanced notice allows us to plan for other children’s make-ups,  helps us with lesson plans and instructors attendance.

Please contact us and ask for Marshal if you have any questions.2021-2022 Junior Season Schedule and Information

Green Ball

  • Green ball is the level that immediately precedes yellow ball. With this in mind, green ball classes are taught very similar to some yellow ball classes in terms of stroke development, games and terminology. The primary focus here is to prepare the student to transition into yellow ball and presumably high school tennis in the near future.
  • Mondays 4:30-5:30, Tuesdays 6:15-7:15, Wednesdays 5:30-6:30, Thursdays 5:15-6:15 and Saturdays 10:30-11:30 and 11:30-12:30.
  • One hour classes: 10 weeks/$320, 9 weeks/$288 ($32 per class)

Yellow Ball Classes

  • Class designed for those who may be starting their tennis journey a bit later in their childhood than most but have an immediate need to adjust to yellow ball usage. Technique is most important here…so kids who may have gotten a late start to tennis can quickly be able to rally with friends or opponents in a match. This is geared towards casual players who want to learn the sport and be able to play for fun with friends throughout their life.
  • Wednesdays 4:30-5:30, Tuesdays 5:15-6:15, Thursdays 6:25-7:25. (dependent on instructor availability)
  • One hour class: 10 weeks $320,  9 weeks $288. ($32 per class)

Intermediate Yellow Ball Classes

  • This class will be similar to the Developmental class but will also use modified balls in addition to “regular” yellow balls. These class will adjoin our modified ball classes in case a child may need to switch levels of ball usage. This class is for those in middle school or advanced late elementary aged school players. Makeups may be done with other classes or possibly with the Developmental class or High School Prospects class.
  • Monday 4:30-5:30, Wednesdays 4:30-5:30, Thursdays 6:25-7:25, Saturdays 10-11:30.
  • One hour class: 10 weeks/$320,  9 weeks/$288 ($32 per class)

High School Prospects (13-18 years old)

  • Will exclusively use regular tennis balls. Designed for the kids preparing to join or are on a high-school team that want to improve their standing for the upcoming season from Junior Varsity to Varsity or within a varsity team.
  • Mondays 3:30-4:30, Thursdays 6:25-7:25. Other dates and times are possible for incoming groups of 3 or more and classes could be extended to 90 minutes if enough students agree to do so.
  • One hour: 10 weeks/$320     9 weeks/$288     8 weeks/$256 ($32 per class)
  • One and a half hour:  10 weeks/$420    9 weeks/$378

Intermediate/Advanced 90 Minute Classes

  • Classes designed to get kids to play at a higher level and become more prepared for future match situations.
  • More nuanced technical work and increased difficulty of drills.
  • 90 minute classes
  • Tuesdays 4:45-6:15, Thursdays 4:45-6:15, Saturdays 10:00-11:30.
  • One and a half hour:  10 weeks/$420    9 weeks/$378 ($42 per class)

High Performance

  • This is an advanced class for current or prospective USTA tournament players without a specific age requirement or Advanced level players that want more 90 minutes on the court to hone their skills and conditioning.
  • Focuses on match play, strategy, concentration and fitness. Much more intensive in all facets, including technique.
  • Tuesdays 4:15-6:15 and Thursdays 4:15-6:15 (not available Session 4)
  • Two hour classes:  10 weeks/$520  9 weeks/$468  ($52 per class)
